Just lost my job a week ago, so depending on how new job prospects go and such, I may or may not be there. I'll have to see. I'm down for carpooling, as my van doesn't get the best mileage. I'll chip in for gas.

What part of town are you in? I'm southwest and have to be back downtown by ~2 pm.

I'll need to do a bit of checking, but I'm about 75% to be able to make it.

provided I can make it, I'll be rolling in a minivan that can carry 4 grown men and all their associated equipment without too much difficulty.

I'll post up a confirmation by Thursday and we can agree on a meeting place to load up the bus.

on a related note, myself and a couple co-workers are planning to head to Lone Star Gun Range on Thursday evening, after work. probably arriving there around 6 to shoot until it gets dark, then head to Lockhart for some BBQ.
PM me if you're interested, and I can add you to any emails on the topic.

oh yeah.. and ncongrunt, best of luck with the job search.

North Central-ish, a couple of blocks from the DPS headquarters at Lamar and 2222.

Gosh, sorry to hear about your employment misfortune. Best of luck on that.

Folks, it sounds like a good crowd developing. This could be really fun.

Remember sign up starts around 0900 and that there is a new shooters meeting to attend for those who haven't done this sort of thing before. It will really help to answer questions and ease your mind on specific concerns.

In the mean time, if anyone has any equipment or other questions, please ask away here. AggieMM or I would be happy to give you an answer...now if you want 'correct' answers it may cost more

If Saturday, 8/18 rains out, let me know if you want me to put the 26th on the TexasCHLforum Event Calendar. I didn't "book" it since it was just a back-up date.

I hope you guys can get it in without the rain.

August 18th Match Cancelled....

Post by AggieMM »

Yup, you guess it, Erin did us in..........

y'all....... .

The IDPA Match planned for Saturday has been
cancelled due to flooding. I knew y'all would be
shocked.

Ok here is the plan, if Hurricane Dean starts
heading our way I want y'all to point every fan
you have south and start blowing!
So 8/18 is off, are we shooting for 8/26? Probably should lock this thread and start a new one.....

A final reminder that our August IDPA match is tomorrow. The weather still looks iffy, so I will send an e-mail out NLT 0630 in the morning if I have to cancel.
