I bought one just like that off of this forum a few years back. You're going to love it. Sweet shooter, and for what it is, a pretty soft shooter. :thumbs2:

That is a very nice revolver. I think that the 3 inch barrel the perfect length for concealed carry. :tiphat:

I have a 6" blued, bought new in mid 90s. Really a sweet shooter. I only wish it was stainless. Only revolver that comes close is the 2-1/4" stainless SP101 .357 that followed me home a few months ago. You are going to love this GP.

That's a nice Ruger. I like the 3" barrels. From a proportional standpoint they look good. Probably balances well too.

I have a blued 4.2" gp100 I bought about 3 years ago. It is a great gun. You will love yours.

I sometimes wish it was a 3"er. I may have to try to find one just like yours Tim.

Why would you replace a classic?! I have both, and they're both good guns, but there's no comparison. For shooting full-power .357 ammo, the Speed-Six is far better. For me, the 27 oz. SP-101 is too light for magnum ammo. The 34 oz. Speed-Six is only a little more difficult to carry, and a good belt and holster make it manageable.

Aw, man! Sorry for your loss. Yes, you need to replace it.
