Which is WHY the troops are there. The biggest concern about Fat Boy is that he is crazy enough to ensure his total destruction by attacking South Korea or the US troops there. The first time after we backed Grandaddy Fat Boy to the Yalu River we backed off when the Chicomms sent 700 troops a minute at guys with M14's firing 600 RPM. This time we should make it clear to the Chinese what will happen if they intervene.

The other reason the fat little inbred may need to be preemptively taken out is that he has nuclear weapons and has shown a willingness to proliferate them. If we had good information that he was going to give them to Iran or try to use them, we should level Pyongyang before he gets a chance to. This jerk is crazy enough to nuke the US or South Korea and it may serve us to take him out.

How many were there at the beginning of the Korean War? I suspect 35,000 US troops with modern weapons would make a big difference. We really had no military reason in the Korean War for not backing China all the way back across the Yalu river. Once you get Navy carrier battle groups and long range bombers into play you could take out Little Pol Pot's starving army. No doubt DPRK could roll over the DMZ quick, if they did it without warning...and Seoul is what 100KM away? DPRK army has lots of artillery, rockets, etc, but what about helicopters, modern aircraft, close air support, long range bombers, etc. And I'm talking all conventional here. Maybe Obozo really hollowed out our forces there, but I wouldn't want to bet my 1.2million against South Korea and US 500,000. It was probably a mistake to move tactical nuclear weapons out of the peninsula, but I assume it would be fairly easy to drop one on Pyongyang from a B-2. And it WOULD be justified if Fat Boy invaded the South and could potentially save lives.
