I don't have a whole lot of guns but, like TAM I tend to favor a blend of new yet traditional. I don't buy used guns.
My handguns are all SA/DA with hammers. They don't make many like that anymore. My EDC is is a Beretta Storm PX4 SC. The action is pretty much old school but it has a curvy grip and shape with lots of plastic.
My favorite rifle is my Ruger Gunsite Scout. It is an M77 style bolt action magazine fed. Its a relatively modern design and concept but it is a bolt action after all. It's safe buddy an AR15, while cheaper to shoot just as much fun and accurate lacks the style and character of the scout rifle. While the AR is well made and shoots well, it is still a mass-produced lump of cheaply made aluminum and plastic that looks like everyone else's rifle.
