Google "gritty trigger" M&P Compact 2.0.

Brings up a lot of hits. Seems that the striker block needs polishing as well as some other parts, but can be a tricky operation - or just go with Apex.

apex tactical sells a plunger and sear for the M&P series. it can either be the plunger or the sear causing the grit. i'd recommend replacing both.
