Warm up the barrel/upper and then hit the brass with super chilled liquid spray (upside-down co2 Duster).

Great idea. Waiting on a 3/16" x 24" solid brass to be delivered.Skooter wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:49 pm Warm up the barrel/upper and then hit the brass with super chilled liquid spray (upside-down co2 Duster).
This is what I expect to find out soon. The 24" brass rod was not delivered yet. I suspected that the case neck was split and stayed in the chamber when the next round entered the chamber. The Annoyed Man wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:21 pm It looks from your pictures as though the stuck round wasn’t fully seated to begin with.it may well be that the previous round left a piece of brass stuck in the chamber.
Beiruty, you might want to consider pulling the barrel off of the receiver if tapping on it with the brass rod with medium force doesn’t do it. Depending on how you have the upper clamped in a vise, if you have to start banging too hard on the stuck case with that rod, it could potentially damage the receiver. Removing the barrel, or at least clamping the barrel in the vise rather than using a receiver block to fix the upper in place while beating on the rod, would eliminate the possibility of receiver damage.Beiruty wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 12:20 amThis is what I expect to find out soon. I may have to remove the barrel if the round does not get out easily. The Annoyed Man wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 8:56 amBeiruty, you might want to consider pulling the barrel off of the receiver if tapping on it with the brass rod with medium force doesn’t do it. I'd be very careful about the use of heat on the barrel anywhere near the receiver extension. Another thought... if the bullet is already set back all the way into the case, maybe you could use a cleaning rod to keep the bullet pushed back while you dump any remaining powder charge out the front of the barrel. That way, if the primer does detonate, you’ll lessen the risks of bad juju.
Anyway, good luck with it, and let us know the final outcome.

Use science, a few sec of super chilled compress "air in a can", sprayed on the case head, made the mission way easier. One bang and it just came out.

Chamber was polished too, too much black stuff came out

Because science, glad that worked out. Any idea what caused the problem?Beiruty wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2019 9:46 pm Update:
