Very sorry to hear this news. I met John once when he came to one of our breakfast meets at Rudy's BBQ in Katy Tx. Very nice man. My prays and condolences to his family in this time of sorrow.

I don't know if it was unexpected or not, but I hope to learn more in the coming days. Very sad news to hear of John’s passing. I always enjoyed conversations with him at our forum breakfasts, and will miss him dearly.

Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
