Some years ago, at my county jail, a Deputy had disarmed by removing his Glock from the holster before entering the jail. Upon trying to re-holster, he had his keys in his hand, and you guessed it - the keys caught in the trigger guard and he had an ND in the office.G.A. The 'trigger safety' is the only device on a stock Glock that can potentially be called a safety device, however this 'safety' is often defeated by foreign objects like shirt tales while the the gun is being holstered and is therefore of questionable value.
