My username is the result of an absolute, total lack of creativity. So I settled on my given name and year of birth.
I can't count the number of times I've aborted registration for a group, forum, or site because I would have had to think up a user name.
I pretty much own it in firearms related forums, but in high tech groups there is another Mike1951. I refuse to think up another so I don't register in those.

My folks gave it to me. Been using it for over 53 years. That and like someone else said, I am not very creative.

Just realized I've never posted to this.
Old and forgetful. Used something I can remember. First 2 initials and last name.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Mines it basically a twist on my last name that I came up with when I got into playing MMORPG(Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games.) Plus I have a nasty scar that goes from my sternum to just below my belt line from a surgery I had years ago.

Someone mentioned Compuserve IDs a while back, and I still remember mine - 70705,211. The young lady at Compuserve was very upset when I called to cancel my membership in 2002 (due to lack of funds) because I had been a member for close to 20 years.

Just a nickname that stuck long ago. I never liked "Bobby" and my dad was called "Bob". Robert is my given name and I'm kind of surprised by all the Ham radio calls on this forum.
KA5AMU and I forgot the stinkin morse code right after passing the test :)

NcongruNt is net-speak for "incongruent". A lot of places limit usernames to 9 characters (lots of IRC networks have this limit, for example), so I shortened it to NcongruNt. It describes me in more ways than one. :)

I just have to wonder why no one has made this a sticky...
It seems to be a right popular topic, and one everyone enjoys parusing...
Lets load up the responses and get someone in the Mod Squad to make it so...
All in favor say "aye"
All opposed "nay"
I bet by the end of the weekend we'll know, and I can be hated once again!
