As for my S-Bux visit, I went in around 8:30 pm and paid for our drinks with my $2's. The barista was excited to see them, but when I asked if he'd had any other people pay with $2's today, he said he hadn't. He was just happy to see something unique, as no one had ever paid him completely in $2's. What's interesting, though, is that he knew about the boycott. He's some kind of manager (my guess is assistant), and he said that Starbucks had sent out a company-wide memo telling their stores that there may be picketing and other protest-ish things from anti-gun groups today. When I explained about the "buy"cott and the significance of the $2's, he was very supportive and somehow got around to bashing the Occupy movements. Of course, I didn't stop him.

All in all, I'm glad that I got to be the one to spread the message to one more location today.

Was in Austin today; stopped by Starbucks with a few friends. Ordered our drinks and asked to speak with the manager. I asked her if she knew there was a boycott today, and she said yes and looked nervous....then was VERY surprised when I told her that we never come to Starbucks, but were there today solely as a protest of the boycott and in appreciation of Starbucks' stance. She was gratified and said that it had been extra busy all day.

Sounds like the boycott idea totally backfired....

Slipped a SB gift card in with the Valentine's card and flowers for the wife. Hey she'd buy the $$ java anyway, this way I get credit and can support the company at the same time.

We finally made it!

The red velvet whoopie pies didn't survive long enough to make it into the picture, but the kids loved the hot chocolate, the missus liked her caramel macchiato, and I tanked up on decaf.

My wife and I drove from Fort Worth to Houston today and uncharacteristically patronized two Starbucks. . . both of us bought a drink and carried a concealed firearm each time. The kicker? I completely forgot about this, but I'm glad I made it by. We quit paying the premium bucks for coffee years ago, so this was really a fortunate coincidence.

I participated in a rather unspectacular way. I seldom, if ever, go to Starbucks, but I went to a small store yesterday [abbreviated profanity deleted] lunch. No NRA hats, no $2 bills, just a purchase of food and beverage.
But, I'd like to know if there's any way we can come up with an official impact of the boycott/buycott situation... rough estimate.

Here's the reply I received from Starbucks yesterday afternoon.
Clearly it's a form letter, since my original email did not refer in any way to open carry.

We went to 'bucks yesterday. Because VA is an open carry state my DH open carried. We don't usually OC, but if you are going to a place to support gun rights you gotta be bold! If we had two guns I would have OC as well. The conversation behind te counter was how many people with guns had come in that day, and how they were going to the range/practicing at home ths weekend. I guess message received.

I just wanted to point out something I thought was interesting/funny

The anti-gun boycott FB page has; 267 "like" and 127 "talking about this"

The pro-gun buycott FB page has; 24,581 "going", 2,489 "maybes" and 114,911 "invited"

....and I wonder how many of the "127 talking about this" are actually pro-gun folks messing with the anti's
