Unfortunately, it seems the media is trying to gun up some ethics controversy about how they killed him. That too makes me sick.

As the other "X" used to say: "By any means necessary."

I thoroughly agree. Any method used to take out that sack of slime is fine by me.
I had that same thought, but figure, how do you not draw fire from police OR the gunman? It looks like the video that he shot towards the camera, I don't know if he was aiming UP or not, but that crack was a lot clearer. It'd be pretty hard to be not depicted as a sniper.

How different is that from 1966 when citizens were all shooting their rifles back up at Charles Whitman?

I intend to visit that spot sometime soon if it's not cordoned off.

A photo of the dead gunman (he doesn't deserve to be named anymore) & his rifle have surfaced. The photo can be deemed graphic, but I've seen worse.

Turns out it's not an SKS, but a Saiga AK74 variant.

From what i heard from FOX news was there wasn't enough left to do a toxicological test so i doubt that is him or news was wrong.

The photo does look kinda like him (see the beard) and the clothing seen in the other video.

Yes it does, but as the reported described it there wasn't much left but a splatter. The reporter could be wrong but he went into great detail to make sure it was understood nothing was left. Maybe somebody here in the medical field can explain how much is need to do a toxicological analysis.

"Reporters" also insisted it was an AR15........and then an SKS........ I believe that's him.

They're still saying it's an sks, wfaa just showed it and said its an sks which is a very old rifle and a precursor to the ar15
No one does any fact checking anymore

Watching the President speak live at the memorial service in Dallas. That he began his address with a joke did not endear me, but he did a good job of honoring the five officers killed.

I sincerely hope he will not use this as yet another opportunistic platform for politicization of his never-ending gun-control agenda. But I'm not holding my breath.

In fact, I'm cringing while waiting for it...

And...there it is. "We flood our communities with guns, where it's as easy for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock as it is a book."

Well, it could have been worse. He finished his speech with no further mention of gun control, and without climbing on the expected soapbox to call Congress to act on "common sense" gun control legislation. The emphasis stayed on the five officers we lost, the job of our committed law enforcement officers, the role of the community and parents, and calls for mutual understanding and efforts in strengthening race relations.

Other than the Stevie Wonder joke at the opening, and the Glock and book comment, it wasn't bad. I confess my expectations were not high, but better job than expected.

I havent enrolled in college in years, but from what i remember, some books cost more than some of my guns. Kids cant even afford education in this country.

But it is still "easier" to buy that $200 book than a gun.
