Vanity Fair hates Trump, we know that.

They have decided devoting 100 percent of their time complaining about him, sucks all the air out of the room, leaving the Dems with no message.

So they came up with one. Trump is raising gas prices. The Dems are demanding lower gas prices.

But lower gas prices leads to more driving, big SUV’s and more global warming, oh my.

Better economy leads to increased demand which could lead to higher prices. Yep it's all Pres. Trumps fault....

TAM, don't be discouraged by innuendo or conjecture from congress. Mueller has all the info and is making impressive progress. If FBI or DOJ is off base in any way his report will show it. It really makes no sense for congressional committees to be doing any intelligence investigations.

Congress has constitutional oversight powers, and traditionally, the various committees which provide oversight to agencies like the IRS, the FBI, and the CIA recieve cooperation from those agencies in matters of oversight. The reasons the committees receive that cooperation are twofold:

1. those agencies are mandated by law to cooperate; and
2. Congress controls the pursestrings to their budgets, and has the power to “punish” said agencies for refusing to cooperate.

To the extent that any federal agency refuses to cooperate with the congressional committee charged with that agency’s oversight in specific matters, they are operating outside of the law.

Under Obama, the FBI stonewalled a congressional committee requests for information relevant to investigations by that committee into the Clinton email scandal. Under Obama, the IRS stonewalled committee requests relevant to a congressional committee’s investigation into abuse of power over non-profit applications by conservative political groups. Under Obama, the DOJ stonewalled congressional committee investigations into criminal malfeasance by both ATF and FBI in the Fast & Furious matter of illegal gun-running. Etc., etc., etc.

Under 8 years of Obama, federal agencies have learned that the law no longer applies to them - even when the current POTUS or Congress tries to force compliance. How is that not a coup?

I think he’s a political animal, and the reason that his “investigation” has lasted as long as it has, and the reason that its direction has strayed FAR afield of his original mandate is because he’s on a fishing expedition, and has set himself up above any accountability to anybody .......and that lack of accountability in gov’t anywhere is distinctly un-American. Mueller is a willing tool of the DNC to overturn a lawful election result.

In any other terms, that is called a coup.

Mueller seems to have widespread respect and support in congress, including the Republican leaders of House and Senate. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved a bill on a bipartisan basis that protects Mueller from inappropriate termination.
