Dick's has "remanufactured" Ultramax rounds on sale this week.
.45 150-PACK, .40 225-PACK, .38 200-PACK OR 9MM 250-PACK
I picked up a 225 count of .40 S&W
I put 50 rounds through on the range today with 1 FTL. 2% failure. Great since I'm just blowing holes in paper. Cleaning wasn't any worse than the WWB I usually use on the range.

Interesting how this thread has slowed down ever since ammo has been easier to find lately.
Today I went to 3 different Academy stores and they all had
the elusive .380 in stock along with all the other calibers as well.
Also saw it at Carters Country on I-10 and Spectre Firearms in Tomball.
It felt strange not buying any since I'm already stocked up on it.
Went to Gander Mountain on 290 @ FM1960 and saw a nice variety
of SD ammo including Speer Gold Dots and Corbon.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 3 boxes of .380 at Wal-Mart! Priced at $17.99 a box, I can still wait until I see some at Academy. Last time I went to the gun bar at Wal-Mart, the old man who runs the area yelled at me twice for being behind the counter!

Yes, ammo is much easier to find and prices are coming down... except at Gun Shows.

BREAKING NEWS !!
I went to Walmart in Tomball Last night (Friday 2300) and saw
something strange in the ammo case.
It looked like some .380. I rubbed my eyes and took a closer look
and sure nuff it was Remington .380 for $17.95 per 50.
I've seen it in other stores lately but not in a Walmart for over a year.

Sighted Saturday 7/10/10 Grapevine Walmart: .380 Winchester Whitebox. So new on the shelf they hadn't even put up the price.
$18.97/box of 50 (they had about 20 boxes).
OUCH -
Told the guy no thanks after I had him pull it out of the case and scan it.
Gonna go use my Cabela's $20 off $120 Coupon

I bought three boxes of PDX1 .380 at Dick's two weeks ago. I was so surprised and happy to see it on the shelf I didn't think to check the price. When I checked out, I was less surprised and no longer happy.
$29.99/20

I found .380 auto on bass pro's website for $17.95 per 50. I went ahead and got 250 rounds since I cannot seem to find it anywhere north of Dallas. Cashed in some reward points so the price got a bit better.

I've been seeing a lot of Remington .380 FMJ for $17.95 lately.
It seems that everywhere I go has some in stock.
Also, a nice variety of .380 JHP has seemed to emerge onto the market.
Funny thing is I haven't been buying any because I was snapping it up on the rare
occasions I saw it during the drought.
