I "heard" from one of the many news channels I was watching that the destroying of property will be more than likely caused by outsiders, people not from the area, and they tried to rationalize it by saying why would a community destroy the neighborhoods knowing that they have to wake up to it in the morning.
It's not unprecedented.

Pure speculation on the part of the reporter to suggest that those destroying property were not locals.

I find it hard to believe that thousands of people show up, break things, burn things and then go "home."
In all fairness there is a difference between rioters and protestors.

It's amazing that the title of this thread is still as valid as the day it was posted. 12 buildings destroyed by fire, a few police cars burned and of course some free stuff was looted. All because a black thug used force to rob a store, assaulted a Police Officer with the intent of getting his gun and maybe killing him, and ended up dying in his criminal endeavor.
This widespread illogical behavior is reserved for those humans lacking basic reasoning skills, intelligence and missing millenniums of evolutionary adaption towards a peaceful existence within peaceful Societies. I don't see things ever changing in the United States until all unwarranted entitlements are ended and Society goes toe to toe and sorts things out. The Scorpion and the Frog or the Farmer and the Viper. Take your pick...

I have had a Police Scanner app downloaded for about 5 years now. I downloaded when my son left Bedford PD and went to a PD in East Texas.
I listened the local PD as well as the Missouri HP just about all night. There is a lot of things that took place that the news has not reported or twisted, but what is new about that.
I pray last night was the end of this ridiculous behavior.
Prayers for all of the families involved as well as the brave LEO and Firefighters.

I feel terrible for Officer Wilson. His life and career ruined for doing his job. Overbearing "community leaders" jumping to incorrect conclusions and causing this.

Surprised Jessie and Al haven't put a bounty on his head.

Officer Darren Wilson evidence photos. It is pretty open and shut that he fired in self-defense. One of his bullets found inside the door panel of his squad car, in a pile of shattered glass. Pictures of Michael Brown's blood on Wilson's uniform and on the inside of the car, etc., etc.

I was sort of hoping they'd wait until very early Friday morning.
That's probably just my general hatred of Black Friday crowds and wanting to go ahead and combine the two, though.

I've often thought that at the first sign of going from peaceful protest to budding riot, they should just send a crop duster full of kerosene over the crowd. Once they're good and damp from that, they won't be so interested in playing with fire.

The arrests last night were predominately locals per the news this morning.

One of the most overlooked villains in this story is Brown's running buddy, Dorian Johnson. When I first heard him on TV I thought - Eddie Haskel.
What a greasy punk. He lied without restraint & has cost so many people so much. His lies fueled this entire event. He has to be a sociopath.
It probably wont happen, but I would love to see this snake face the consequences of his inflammatory lies.

Just saw the news of MB's step-father yelling to burn down Ferguson, my only thought was I would love to see his house be one of the places that burned.

I am sure the chain stores can't wait to spend money to rebuild.
