Decapped , removed the military crimp, primed 100rds of 5.56, hopefully I'll be loading them soon! Barnes 62gr TSX, I'm going to keep 50rds and give my son 50rds!

Loaded up 100 rounds of .38 S&W in Starline Brass for the old S&W "Lend Lease" .38 M&P I got from my F-I-L estate. My word, .38 S&W is expensive and hard to find. Has a 5" pencil barrel and all sorts of Brit proof marks. Story is he got it in a trade with a Brit Officer on Corsica during WW-II. Will only be shooting mild loads, but the fact that an (at least) 75 year old pistol still functions perfectly always amazes me. I know I should not be amazed as I have a 102 year old 1911 (1916 mfg based on serial number) with US Army markings that still holds it's own.

Got my room skinned in plybead. Will be staining in the next week. Going to put 5v crimped tin on the ceiling. Hopefully I will have it finished by the end of the month. Then I will need to build a bench and desk. Getting close to being able to knock the dust off my press after a decade.

I put down money on a leader 50 A1, so now I'm in the preliminary stages of getting and setting up a loading station for my new .50 BMG. I've heard that the press takes a lot of torque from the handle, and that you want a very solid mount. Anyone done this before?

Yes, my first thought was just get some steel plate and use it as a giant washer. I wonder if v the would work with the 3/4 plywood top in my bench?

Man, that looks like a LOT of work but it's going to be cool as heck when you're done :cheers2:
Thanks. Hopefully it looks like s old time workshop when I'm finished.

It wasn't as hard as the rest of the house which I did most of the work by myself. I will post a thread when I get finished, moved in and can plug a computer in.

I bought a Lyman prep center. My neighbor gave me 2000 rounds of 223 brass from a police range. I just could not see myself reworking all of the brass by hand. A club member gave me 1,200 rounds of 40 S & W nickle brass as well. I had my work cut for a few days.

The military crimp on the primer pocket is a pain!

did some 9mm this week, switched to .45 this weekend, looking to switch to .308 in a day or two...

Just need time, (and the weather), to get it all hauled to the range now.
