Question: Has anybody ever been denied? And if so how long did y'all have to wait till you were notified?

3/23 - took classes
3/26 - fingerprints
3/28 - submitted ltc 100 form
4/4ish - status showed up on website (background check under review)
4/17 - still waiting for site to update (background check under review)
4/22 - still waiting for site to update (background check under review)
4/25 - called dps just to check and make sure they had everything. Was told I was under further review but she didn't know why. I was arrested once 20 years ago so I'm assuming that has something to do with it. I don't owe child support, no felonies, and don't owe taxes. Guess I'll have to wait longer!

Submitted my forms February 17th, received the email on the 19th

Print pending today April 24th. I'm sure I'll receive within a week or so.

My spouse received hers in hand within 3 weeks but my Background check took longer than expected but understandable with military history and prior arrests.

Pretty much from my experience with reading the forums it's pretty much luck of the draw you should expect 1-3 months processing time

Yes. Best time to call is soon as they open. Often they’ll pick up right away, but don’t expect much useful information.

Took class 4/11/19
Submitted app 4/16
Finger prints 4/17
Received by DPS 4/20
Review of background still pending as of 4/28.

Funny thing is DPS has run my background twice in the last 10 days, due to my commission card(armed security) and PPO(concealed carry armed security) which required a psych eval by psychiatrist. I just renewed above license's and I have them in hand already. I thought my LTC would be a faster process but to this but I'm guessing not.

Update 6/21 still waiting on background.

Contacted state Rep multiple times with no help. I've contacted regulatory services multiple times they just keep saying they are waiting on my background, When there is nothing to find besides a few traffic tickets.

Update 6/29 finally background complete print pending hopefully I'll have it in hand next week.

2/25/19 received confirmation email

Stupid question but where are y’all finding the checklist. When I log in on the DPS website (with DL # and DOB) I don’t see anything
Called DPS and they said that my app wasn’t opened until March 6th. So hopefully something changes by Monday!

Took the class with a buddy and submitted everything at the same time and it only took him 13 days to get his license...

Been waiting 74 days now
Everything went green Feb 19 except Review and Print.
As of today it has been a 74 day wait and still *Under Review
No requests for additional information.
Called and they said they had everything just keep waiting
No Felonies ever. 1 DUI arrest over 30 years ago (listed on the application).
This is bordering on the ridiculous if some people are getting their plastic in
as little as 14 days. Whats could the holdup possibly be?

Just got off the phone with them basically told me the same, still under review so it can take up to 180 days even though they said they had everything they needed, just wait and "thanks for my patience". What a joke...I think I might send off for a Virginia non resident license just for fun..

I think the law actually reads that they have 60 days to issue and 180 days to issue ONLY if they have requested additional information. Otherwise what is the point of a 60 day deadline if what they really mean is 180 days. Maybe someone who knows will comment on this. They are double talking to us when we call
