Maybe I should go ahead and submit my renewal application now so it will arrive on time.

I called again today and was told it was in imaging. So should have it mt next month.

Mailed it on 5/19, so they are still behind.

Hello my fellow May applicants. I just received my license today. My app was received May 12th....147 days of waiting. So keep your head up and call call call DPS. I was lucky to get a verbal confirmation through the actual person that was handling my app. I called her every Monday, once it was approved I had it 7 days later.

Hopefully, they are catching up.

Called today, they said they are still doing backgrounds but they supposedly are held up because of the Ike aftermath...
Will send letter to guv and rep tomorrow...

Mailed on 5/19 and finally on 10/16 "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

Not sure if the email to my State Senator or the Governors Office this week pushed it out the door. Either way it is on the way.


Now the wait for it to arrive.

my dad is still waiting on his, apparent'y it got sent to the wrong address a month ago.

I'm certain we didn't fudge the address so it must have been them. Now I guess whoever lives at box **, tx knows my dad has a chl lol.

Checked the site today, says Licence Issued or Certificate active; did get email back from governor's office saying they would look into it. Now just have to wait on snail mail I guess...

Status finally changed to active today.....this was almost like waiting for a kid to be born!

Mine changed to active on 10/16 and still nothing in the mail. Called my contact on Friday and I am told I have to wait until 11/16 before they will reissue a replacement.

Plastic received 3 days after approval (via regular mail). I almost wonder if I wasn't actually approved earlier and the website was slow to update.

Sorry I do not know the dates but I took the class in early April, mailed out in May.. got finger prints sent back and just got my plastic today Oct. 31st! This is with two misdemeanors almost 10 years ago. , one a federal case. I'm a different person these days family kids, God in my life. At any rate, my texasonline.com account says still processing application so hang in there! You might be surprised! I'm glad I made it before the election for some reason.

I just made sure I had all of my paperwork lined out, had to get paperwork at the federal level , and state. This was quite the hassle let me tell you. It's all good now.

They are still tell me mine went out around the 16th and as of Nov. 1st still nothing. Last time I called they told me I had to wait 30 days before they would reissue. Just another lame excuse from the DPS office. I asked if the next one could be sent with a tracking number and was told they can not do that. Which is another lame excuse and an out right lie.

I am in the same boat. They told me mine was mailed out oct. 23 still no plastic as of 11/2/08
