He was in Dallas today signing transportation bills that benefit north Dallas. I suspect he'll do a similar public signing of the gun bills, probably in Austin.

Public as in "journalists will be present", or "anyone can attend"? If he'll be signing them in Austin I'd love to go and take a picture of the bills being signed.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Gov. Abbott will sign both HB910 and SB11, probably at the same time at a public signing.
He should sign SB273 in front of the 30.06 sign at Austin City Hall, HB910 in front of Acevado's office at APD Headquarters, and SB11 on the steps of the UT tower building.baldeagle wrote:He was in Dallas today signing transportation bills that benefit north Dallas. 30.07 contains the same "exception to the application" as 30.06:isa268 wrote:I know but does that mean we could open carry if we wanted too?SA_Steve wrote:well you can already carry in the Capitol...
I know government owned buildings can't post 30.06 signs, but can they post a 30.07?
So they could post the 30.07, just like they could post a 30.06, but it could be ignored. Given it's the Texas capital, and they have a special entry line for CHLs, I don't expect they would do anything different for OCs.(e)It is an exception to the application of this section
