Well today was the big day...PLASTIC IN HAND (sort of) :patriot:

The license arrived at my house today at 1300 CST. I, however, am not even in the state. As some of you know, I'm attending college in Georgia even though I'm still a TX resident. My mom looked at it and immediately forwarded it to me via US mail. If lucky I should see it by Wed or Thurs....I wanted to tell her to take a picture of it so I could just look at it and fantasize, but my mom is an efficiency machine and had it in the mail within 20 min of reception.

I was told it's the new style with script letters for the state and other subtle changes from licenses of past....I'll post a censored pic as soon as i have it in my actual hands...

Woohoo! Application Completed - license issued or certificate active as of this morning!

:patriot: :clapping:
Plastic in hand! That makes it 39 working days by my count...

Wally Walk? Sorry, but I despise that store and won't go in there unless I have no choice at all. But I did do an HEB walk, followed by a Home Depot walk, and then a Burger King walk :)

Sorry, no pics, the wife and camera phones don't get along :

Really want to wally walk like this week, but don't have any guns in this state. I live on campus and that's a felony :-(

I'll be back in TX for thanksgiving break. Wally walk is set in stone for Tuesday before thanksgiving as soon as I get off the plane. And you can bet I'll document everything and share it as soon as possible!!!

39 days? That is unbelieveable! It has been about 39 days since my wife sent the fingerprints back. In fact, we had dinner with the instructor and his wife the middle of August and he said that the entire class' fingerprints. Still waiting on hers....

Congrats on the plastic, anyway!!! :txflag:

One step closer!
I looked at the DPS site just now and found out that my application is PROCESSING! :thewave

I changed my signature line, removed Ronald Reagan's quote to update my application process, but when I get my plastic, I will put it back! ;-)

Be aware that a side effect of checking your status to much, is an unexplained loss of fingernails. "rlol" :woohoo
