Don't worry, I took the class with a group of seven buddies. Four of them recieved plastic 2 solid weeks before the rest of us got ours and we all sent them out on the same day. I admit it was pretty disheartening to see them wally walking without me.

I don't think it has to do with your background, in state/out of state or anything else. I think it's just the sheer volume of applications they have to weed through. I had no arrests or anything in my background and mine took almost the full 60 days.

It just depends on which 'batch' you end up in when they empty the mail bags. The remaining 3 of us got ours within a couple of days of each other. It shouldn't be too much longer for you now!

Okay, well, I guess that makes me feel... a tad better. My sheet is as white as cotton, so I must just be unlucky.

There really isn't a good average on the BG wait, it varies a lot. Once it goes green there's a better estimated time till mailbox, being within 2 weeks, give or take.

Hooray! Finally got a change on my page. I emailed them yesterday, as politely as I could, asking if they had at least received the packet I mailed on 3/28. This morning I checked my page and it said:

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review


Looks like just my background check is pending...so it might not take too much longer. Also got an email saying they received the packet 3/31 and to please be patient. I'll try, but it isn't going to be easy!

So the weirdest thing just happened at work....my plastic came in the mail...im very happy but very confused lol. Why would it come to my work address?

Well, I didnt know whether to put mine in Feb or March! lol.. Mailed on Feb 28, but they didnt recieve it until March. Regardless, got a txt from my wife yesterday that our plastic had arrived!! 58 days mailbox to mailbox. Now if my stupid crossbreed would just arrive! lol. In the meantime, I might just have to confiscate my wife's lol

My home address is on my chl. It's really weird.
