Patterson is right.
Don't worry yourself with checking all day long. Learn from what we have done. I wish I had known without a doubt that it will not update throughout the day or at night. I would have got much more work done.
It updates around 6am. Check it once a day around that time and move on until the next morning

Ehh, the fact is that this one RSD Office, in Austin, Texas has to handle all of our CHL needs, I'm pretty sure they know they can only handle so much at any given time. It is frustrating though playing the waiting game, but it is well worth the wait.

Hopefully, it won't be long now.

Did my once a day check and saw a pleasant surprise:
License Status: Application packet has been received from the applicant, the application is in progress. Show receipt
Application : Received
Fingerprints : Under review
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review
So that's 39 days waiting. Hopefully, I will receive my plastic with in the next 2 weeks. Looking forward to actually using my crossbreed holster and gun belt in public as opposed to just around the house. I'll update again when I have license in hand.

Frustration at government processing times...not a first, but it's all first world problems anyway so it's hard to complain too much

. I just see a guy reading thru all the arm chair hypothesis posts on lunch about the reason for our applications taking so long and grinning. I know I would be...
