I've never placed a back order with Cabellas, but I have several times with Midway. Each time I received the merchandise as promised -- and each time it even arrived several days before their estimated restock date.

If the price is decent, I would order and it comes when it comes. A legit business won't charge your credit card until they can fill the order.

I called in a back order of 223 from cabelas and the lady said it will ship eventually, might be more or less than what the computer is estimating but it will ship at the price ordered as long as they get their order fulfilled. :waiting:

So, now the question is how much to order... hmm...

In all seriousness, thanks for the feedback. I'm new to the whole online-ordering for firearms stuff, but my local shop can't keep anything on the shelves.

complaint

I placed an order with ammotogo.com last month - upon receipt of my order they emailed with an "expect delivery date of..." - shortly thereafter I received another email with "order won't be sent until last of January.."

the delay doesn't bother me so much as what does irritate the heck outta me : (1) they've already gotten my money from my credit card account (shoddy business practice), and (2) I phoned them and said that I'd drive to Brenham and pick up the order (and let 'em keep the shipping cost) - they said they couldn't do that :banghead: this tells me that they don't have what I ordered in stock (but they deny that)

anyway, I won't be using ammotogo in the future and I hope all reading this might think twice about ordering from these scumbags

Conroe gun show this morning - lots of ammo for sale - but I paid $32 for a box of 124gr, 9mm, American Eagle (Federal) ($.64 per round). haven't been able to find 124gr so I bit the bullet (pun - lowest form of humor!) - need to step-up bullet weight in my Sig P938

Prices for normal handguns (was looking mostly at Glocks) wasn't tooooo bad - $660 for a gun that I paid $620 for a couple of weeks ago - nothing seen that I can't live without

***Sold Out*** Shipping coupon code still works. Thanks for the heads up on the dyslexic way I typed it. ;)

Indepedence 5.56x45 55gr FMJBT $9.99/20rds

Use Coupon Code 13FLAT for $5 shipping on orders over $99

Academy - Parker and Tollway - I got 5 boxes of Tula .45 (steel cased FMJ) for $17.99 each, and a case (640 rounds) of Tula (steel cased FMJ) 7.62x39 for $189.99. There were still 5 or 6 boxes of the 7.62 Tula when I left . . .

1000 rounds of American Eagle 9mm 124 grain FMJ for $375:

http://www.bulkammo.com/1000-rounds-of- ... -124gr-fmj" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

UPDATE: Less than 5 minutes to sell 50 1,000-round cases. Gotta be quick!

UPDATE2: They just posted 1,000 rounds of Federal .223 FMJ for (ouch) $779. 15 available at 11:09am:

http://www.bulkammo.com/rifle/bulk-.223-ammo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

UPDATE3: 11:25 and the .223 rifle ammo is now gone, despite the price.

I have had really really good luck with BulkAmmo.com over the last week. When they get a shipment in, they put it online with an exact quantity in stock, so you know your order is not a stealth-backorder. I keep a couple of their category pages open in a browser and randomly reload them during the day. That is how I was lucky enough to catch 1,000 rounds of 9mm, which I can't find locally. Just keep hitting their page and pressing reload and eventually you will catch them when they've got something in - they have been getting high-demand ammo almost every day. Kinda crazy to watch in real-time how fast some of it gets snatched up.

I'm buying .357SIG at Walmarts. I find it and .40 the most often... even more than 22lr.
.357SIG hasn't increased in price. It's still $29/box of 50 (already ouch, but at least no gouging like other calibers).

I just bought 2 boxes from Walmart on I-10 and Taylor this morning.

1000 rounds of 9mm FMJ on sale (!) for $245:

http://www.bulkammo.com/bulk-9mm-ammo-9 ... ining-1000" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

UPDATE: Well, that was fast: gone in minutes. Keep reloading their site, been a lot of ammo on there today, but it all goes quick.

Old Virginia has the Black Hills 5.56 77 grn OTM back in stock at $491.76/1000. This is exactly the same ammo that is shipped to our military as Mk 262 mod 1.
