Well, the status was updated this morning to MAILED!!
Less than a one month turnaround time. Wish first time applicants had it this easy

Not true, you got the answer that would keep you from calling them back for another month. It's not as absolute as they say it is..

Waiting, waiting, waiting. (to the rawhide tune.) Watching peoples turnaround, patience is not my thing. Hopefully next week we'll see some change. My wife's was submitted at the same time.

Since I first posted, I looked in the mail a couple of days ago, and poof!!! There was the new plastic...
That guy in Austin LIED to me!!! he said ten working days...I got it from issued to in the maibox in about 3-4...
Bottom line, patience is a virtue!!!
My first renewal (1998, if I recall correctly, I forget its been a long time) took 17 days from mailbox to mailbox...I don't believe anyone has beaten that one...But maybe someone has, who knows...

I guess because I incorrectly uploade my docs via email and had to fax them roughly 10 days later,I'm going to be pushed way back. I figured I would have had an update by now. I still haven't recieved an email that the docs I faxed were ever recieved. That was over 2 weeks ago but there were 2 holidays in there. Are we supposed to get an email stating they recieved our fingerprints?

Same here!!! I'm hoping it got in the mail on Saturday and the system just updated on Sunday. If that's the case, it's possible we might have plastic-in-hand by Tuesday or Wednesday!!!
However, I'm not sure what to do with myself now since checking the DPS website won't yield any new information!!! :)
