This is a prosecutor that will be remembered for either a miraculous victory because of a biased jury or as an absolute failure. No prosecutor should ever put themselves in a position where the judge gets that angry with them, in fact no attorney should ever do that!

I just heard something on Fox that was concerning. The lawyer in Fox seemed to think it wasn't the strongest thing but it's still concerning. The comment that by going after a misdimeanor charge of illegally having the gun due to age carries with it the removal of the ability to claim self defense.
I have not heard or know all the legal details around this and hope that something like this doesn't come into play.

watching it now
judge is hard to read. a few minutes ago he seemed disconnected and bored, he even had his cell phone on and it rang.
then the defense is making motions for mistrial with prejudice because of prosecutors continual bad conduct.
its very confusing.
now he is engaged fully and forthright
he is markedly PEEEED off now at the prosecutor

The Fox commentator should have done more research. The charge doesn't apply to non-NFA long guns in WI. It's due to a law written with hunting in mind, but the text of the law makes the conduct legal.

The Judge is all over the Prosecutor and the Prosecutor in my opinion isn’t doing a good job at all. Kyle has held up fantastic on the stand. I have seen “professionals” who hasn’t done as well as Kyle has on the stand.

When he is aquited, he needs to sue the crap out of them for prosecutorial misconduct. He never should have been charged!

And IIRC, there is a mistrial with prejudice for that reason double jeopardy kicks in and they cannot retry him.

Seems to me that the City of Kenosha wants a mistrial without retrial. The Mayor is related to the prosecutor and the detective. They are expecting more protests and riots. This option allows them to say Kyle was guilty and they did all they could.

I feel sorry for Kyle. Remember the freelance photographer? He and members of his family were doxed and threatened - people driving by their houses, etc. just because he took some pictures. Imagine what they'll do to Kyle and his family. He won't be able to step outside his house without feeling like there's a bullet pointed towards him. His life is ruined.

They may think twice but they'll just be sneakier about it; they feel justified in attacking anyone who is against their narrative/goals so I predict doxxing, egging and so on up to sneak-attacks such as arson and worse. In short, he should perform a threat-analysis using BLM/Antifa's known TTPs.
