Doesn't look like it helped the state any tho, that I can see. Like nearly every other state witness, the best the state can say is "didn't really help the state;" reality is more like "another couple witness's testimonies blew up in the state's face."
I think most of the defense's objections are to make sure they have plenty of points to put in an appeal if the jury goes completely emo about a "child's" death and convicts GZ of manslaughter. The judge is clearly favoring the prosecution - if she didn't, the prosecution wouldn't have anything to say to the jury.

Judge just said the prosecution plans to rest today, and start the defense on Friday.

"Citizen's" Grand Jury -- I don't believe it's a real thing.

That ruling disallowed the information during opening statements. She left open the possibility of the information being introduced during the trial. I suspect that it will be introduced.

Rodney King.
This is what I was referring to.
And if (when?) acquitted, will GZ then be subjected to crucifixion
ala LA officers in the Rodney King case? IOW, will Eric Holder then push a charge of civil rights violations by GZ?
Yes. They will never let him off the hook. By the time it is over, Zimmerman will wish that Treyvon had killed him, and that is the result that the race-baiters want.

I had the Rodney King double standard discussion this week with a very liberal LEO. IMO they cannot do a civil rights violation as Z was not in the course and scope of anything like a LEO would be. I am very curious to see what kind of defense they present. IMO they should not have court Friday, give the jury a long weekend then start fresh on Monday. I wouldn't want the jury sitting for the weekend comparing the prosecution to 1 day of defense.

The jury is sequestered. The judge doesn't want to keep them that way any longer than necessary. She has refused to take Friday off (Don West requested it to allow deposition of Benjamin Crump -- the Martin's family lawyer).

What are the odds Z testifies at this point? on the one hand putting him up is a major risk. On the other hand the jury will look highly askance if he claims self defense but doesn't actually testify.

Maybe I'm biased but from what I have seen of the prosecution's performance the defense could just stand up Friday morning and say "Your honor, the defense rests." for the win.

Jeez Louise! So they both have blood from each other on their clothing. I would think that would be pretty much expected. Is it really necessary to go through each little stain? I'm bored.

Now I'm going to get in trouble for spending all day at work watching the trial AND I'm going to get in trouble for sleeping at work.

I was referring to today's ruling. The prosecution wanted to bring in GZ's school records. Defense objected, said, among other things, if it comes in should be able to bring in Trayvon's history (did not make a formal request tho). Judge said yes to GZ records, to Trayvon's.
