Great group of guys. I have been shooting regular & on my own, rifles & handguns, for over 40 yr & learn from this forum almost daily. The character of this forum is manly, polite, & patriotic. :patriot: You sill like it.
I can handle Polite and Patriotic. ( Former US Army 11A here ) Someone doesnt like me though in the range section. I didnt mean to ruffle any feathers in anyway. and I am sorry if I did.

Good Morning..

Don't know what a Georgia redneck can offer to Texans regarding firearms, but I sure like the looks of this website. I am bow-legged, and my Uncle (next door) HAD a horse (until she went AWOL night before last and we can't find her), so maybe you'll allow me to hang around.

I'm 63, been married to the same little sweetheart for over 38 years.
I'm retired from the FAA.
Got my first "Pistol Toter's License" (I swear it was called that) in 1966.
I've got a small stash of firearms that I've acquired over the years and RIGHT NOW my personal cc favorite pistol is: Sig P239, soon to be Crimson Trace Laser equipped...
RIGHT NOW my favorite cc revolver is: S & W J-frame 638 Airweight Bodyguard, w/CT Lasergrips..
My favorite personally owned firearm: 1955 produced S & W Centennial J-frame model 40 (w/grip safety/high horn grips).

My 2nd personally owned favorite firearm: 1982 Colt Detective Special (nickle) purchased off GunsAmerica from one of your very own. (BT from SanAngelo, Tx. Nice gentleman..)

Thanks,

J. Pomeroy

Yes maam Mrs. Watson. That word was taken from Thomas Jefferson when he wrote our Declaration of Independence & sent it to King George. He referenced speaking to him with "manly firmness" yet the document is still very polite. Whose signature is "an armed society is a polite society."?
I believe you to be a lady of great quality & character. I also believe you can give command to "PUT IT DOWN" with out stuttering.
Somehow though ladyly firmness just doesn't sound Jeffersonian.

Just wanted to say hi as a newbie to the board.

I'm a 40 year old with 6 years in the marines. Was born and raised in Illinois, damn glad to be out of that state, and love being in texas.

Welcome to the forum and to Texas! If you get down our way (25 miles south of Houston) sometime, we'll have to do some shooting at PSC.

Regards,
Chas.

Hi, folks!

Age 59 (Born on Christmas Day in 1946)
Gender As rare as we seem to be here...I'm a FEMALE!
Profession/school status Retired teacher turned professional photographer — I taught school for 31 years (which I thought was plenty!)
Marital status Married (workin' on 26 years...I think.)
Years CHL 3
Carry guns/equipment Keep a Ruger SP101 in the console of the SUV but carry (strong side FBI) a S&W 1911Sc...packed with Hydro Shocks.

Hubby does NOT carry. (Probably never will...other than in his car). He's 10 years my senior and we're not "on the same page" with regard to how to carry. He's FINALLY gotten used to my carryin' cocked & locked!

If you want even MORE information, when it comes out, you can take a look at the April issue of Concealed Carry Magazine. I'm told that my profile will be in that issue.

I praise God every day — for I've been blessed many times over! My hubby and I have two miniature dachshunds at home with us and I have a son, "daughter," and two grandsons (so far! #3 baby is in the oven).

In many cases I'm "old enough to know better...but too young to quit!"

Not nearly so rare here as on most gun forums. Perhaps the "10 year old daughter" rule has something to do with that!

Welcome to the forum, you sound like quite an enthusiast. Since you've been a teacher for 31 years, I assume you'll have something to add when we talk about guns and schools.
