My thoughts exactly. I'm wondering if its not a little bit of both.

E-mailed and called. The Libs/ Dems will now put on full court press for as long as the bill is in limbo.

Coming out of hibernation again. I called both my senator and rep (van taylor and jodie laubenberg) who told me they are both behind open carry.

is there any way I can see who voted for and against the conf committee report in case I need to call back and cal them on male bovine excrement?

There is a list floating around somewhere in this section of the forum. Laudenberg voted yes on concurrence so no worries there. No idea on van Taylor.

My senator is Whitmire. I called his Austin office and told them that while I knew my request for his support of HB910 didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell, I figured I'd go ahead and call anyway, since I'm a constituent.

They agreed - and didn't bother to ask for my address.

The word is once the amendment is either modified or removed they would vote for the bill. At this time I don't think votes are the issue. I think getting through to the vote is. Generally law enforcement is neutral on this bill. There are some against, but for the most part they're agnostic. However, the amendment re: Terry stops was a clear deal breaker from the beginning. I hope now that they have been placated, the legislators, even those opposed, will allow the will of the people to be heard. Naive I know...
I like to keep this handy... for close encounters.

NO!!!! Do not follow this advice! We need to get HB910 passed and this won't help. Call your Representative and tell him/her to vote for the Conference Committee Report on HB910. Don't get into name-calling and insults.

What vote are you referring to? That list looks to be from the voting on the motion-to-concur on May 27.
HB 910 is on the House calendar for later today. I may be wrong, but I don't know of any other voting that has been done today in the House on HB 910. :headscratch

Yes. I know that. The original post mentioned, "..is there any way I can see who voted for and against the conf committee report in case I need to call back and cal them on ...(edited)....?"
The posted list of names are showing the "Nay" votes on motion-to-concur..Not votes on a conference report. I'm just trying to avoid any more confusion. Thanks.

KPRC in Houston just reported the bill has cleared and is headed to the Governor's desk. I have no other confirmation, but my fingers are crossed.
