So mine wasn't fingerprints, but I was asked to send more info on an "arrest" that wasn't an arrest. I just listed it to be safe. Had my plastic less than 15 days after sending them the requested info, Christmas break included.

I just logged into the site to see the "application processing" and about had a heart attack when it said "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"!!!!!!!!!!
This is soooooooooooo awesome. What a way to start my monday morning!!!!! I am so excited!!! Cannot wait to get it and do my wally walk.
Quick bit of info, I live in Tarrant county. On my app, I listed all the places I lived in the last "X" years (I lived in 2 coporate housing places in Indiana and my current home in Texas), so I guess all my Background check stuff came back. Wahoooo!!!
OK, I am waaaaaayyyyyyyyy to excited about this. No more taking my gun out and placing it under the seat when I go to restaurants, or any other place!!! Wahoooo!!!! I am a kid on Christmas. Good luck to all the other folks that submitted theirs in the early part of December (austin received mine in 12/10/08).
This is sooooooooooooo great!!!!
(does it look like I am excited~!!!!!!)

So i called 2 days ago to check my status. They informed me that my proof of 'Mericanship was confirmed on January 5th. I then asked for a time estimate, and they told me that my 60 days started then. So i added up 60 business days from that time, removing holidays and starting from the 6th. That comes out to April 1st. Oh the sweet irony of April Fool's for the estimated date.
I think it's a little bogus that they had already had my application for a month and had all that time to work on it, and they don't start background check until 2 weeks after they receive my proof of 'Mericanship.
The wait, continues.

wow...that's nuts! I think I'd give it another week or so and then place the call to my rep's office. I don't think they are legit in "restarting" the 60 day count down.

I know how you feel. They said they started mine over again on the 1/21 all because the first pictures I sent were too dark for them. They notified me of the pictures on 12/31 and they received, by certified mail, the new pictures on 1/7. I was told my new 60 day date would be March 21. Just doesn't seem right!!!

Well I finally decided to call on mine today as it's been about 70 days. Thye have all my BG info back from everywhere except Harris County, what a shock.
I lived in California for most of my life, inseveral places I might add and all of that info came in fine.
It's absolutely rediculous for it to take sooooo long to get a background check done. If I were being arrested for something I'll bet they'd have my BG in minutes.

Holy nuggets!
I happened to be bored and felt like depressing myself further, so i decided to check the status of my application today. What did i find? Only the sweetest 7 word notification in the english language:
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.
Sweet! Especially when they said my 60 days just reset.
FYI, i took the class in Harris County, and i live in Montgomery County. Moved here 2 years ago from Jefferson County, in Colorado.
Good luck all!
Time to get me a holster.
Or even a new gun ... so excited!
