My timeline so far

2/23-CHL class
2/26-Mail in PAPER app and all other documents.
2/28-DPS receives packet and paper application
5/2-first update and in the system, fingerprints scheduled.
5/6-Fingerprinted
5/8-Fingerprints under review.

So I'm assuming you are in background check now also? Hopefully you will see progress faster now.

I guess, I thought they didn't start the BG check until they approve your fingerprints.

I'm not sure since yours was sent in by paper and not online. Mine all changed at the same time and went to BG check also then. If you can log on to see the status now, it should show what has cleared in green and what hasn't in yellow. As you move along, it shows the next "step" you are in. In other words, you should see something to the effect of "background pending". Sorry, but its been a while since I've been on there, so I'm going off my bad memory. lol

I was not aware of the online app. My CHL instructor told everyone to mail in the paper app with everything else and wait. Here is my status when I log in...

I had a charge when I was 13yrs old, I sent in supplemental info about the arrest with my paperwork. My adult record is clean.

Have they sent you a letter about a problem with your app? You can always call and see what is going on.

I have called...I think the guy is looking at the same thing I am and says it's still in processing...frustrating...this morning, they won't even answer the phone...

Been in BG check for 8 days now, hope its not much longer till I get plastic. 71 days and counting.

10 days for BG check to be completed and I had a juvenile felony charge back in 1998.

Received my license yesterday!! I actually called them to see what the progress was and the guy told me it was about 3 weeks out...and almost 3 weeks was how long it took!
