Here's one with a little character...

I buy used most of the time but usually don't buy this "rough".

Just soft for Colt Commanders. This one shoots to point of aim, just had a carry trigger job done and am facing the dilemna...Leave as is, or refinish.

Gunsmith who did trigger job said, "Let it be, it's earned it's look. If you refinish it'll be too purty and you'll be scared to use it. Carry it and shoot it."

Finish wear appears to be from long term storage contact with leather holster. Blueing looks leached from tannic acids in leather. Gun has very little internal wear.

Welcome aboard & I agree too. There is something to be said about carry wear that is character. Those marks are not abuse but verification of reliability. Carry it, shoot it, enjoy it. Keep the safe queens purty.

I agree with the smith. It's earned its rough look. Guns are made to be worn fired and protect. A pretty gun, to me, belies its intended use.

Don't ruin it with a refinish! I made that mistake on an old service model 10. I do not like the revolver nearly as much as I did when it looked a little worn. Take care.

Wow.. I did it!!!
Very Sharp Pistola!
I just traded for the LW SS version of your Officers ACP/Compact.
So far I've replaced the plastic trigger with a short/solid Greider aluminum and traded the rubber grips for some smooth cocobolo's. I plan on using the Tripp upgrade kits in my Colt OEM mag.'s. The next part to ne replaced will be the plastic MSH, most likely with a S&A flat/smooth SS. I really like the little Colts for CCW. Have fun with it. Ray

Is the LTC the one with the 4 lb. DAO trigger? I played with one of them at Carters the other day and it sure is smooth but I dont thin I caould carry it,
