WonderNine+P+ wrote:Crawl, are you kidding? Why call? Have you been reading any of the posts on this forum? It took 106 days for my application to be completed and I'm not even in Harris County. No point in calling. Be patient, my friend. You mailed your stuff quite a bit after I did.
I think we can all decide when the right time to contact them is, so chill out. I'm in no rush anyway, I didn't say I was calling now. Maybe sometime in July. I'll give them more than 60 days from when it switched to processing...

As my signature states, I shipped my app on 3/16, but forgot to sign one of the forms; so i had to resubmit my packet. I wrote my state rep. and they were very helpful on getting me some info. They basically said that its gonna be around 60 days after they received my resubmitted packet (6/8/09). But the response also said that since it was a Harris County app. that it might be a 'little longer' My state rep said to contact him ASAP after the 60 day period was up..... I have a feeling that I'm not gonna have my license before the 60 days :(

So, if my license gets here by the 60th day it would be a total of 4months & 3 weeks

I got home from work today and the SO told me that I had some mail that he picked up for me. Nothing weird yet. He hands me my mail piece by piece. A magazine (TSRA), my TXU refund, my graduation present (Gadsden Flag shirt), then says I got a letter from the state of Texas......OMG! That envelope was torn into pieces in no time!

:thewave :hurry: :clapping: :woohoo :anamatedbanana :woohoo :chldancing

I got mine! I got mine! I got mine! Went and did Whole Foods Store walk instead of a Wally Walk. Life in fine again. :cheers2:

I got my license in the mail today (Wed. 24th). The Texas Online website showed I was complete on Friday the 19th. The envelope was post marked as mailed on Monday the 22nd. 111 days total from the day I mailed my paperwork off. I had no problems along the way. I carried my Kahr IWB all day and at work. Perfect setup for this weather. Kramer Leather is still working on my custom IWB #3 for my CZ-75B. Should have it by the end of June or the top of July. No worries as it's my cool weather setup.

I'm not at all upset that it took 111 days total. I'm aware DPS is working as hard as they can, and especially that our Representatives are aware of the problem with processing times. They don't need us informing them of our situation. You'd have to be living under a rock not to know about it. Not only are they already in the know with them being at the governmental level, but the issue has been well covered in the news as well. I'm sure that catering to CHL applicants isn't the number one priority of our Representatives anyhow.

I stayed very busy getting extremely familiar with my carry piece by shooting as often as I could and carrying whenever I was at home. Not only did this make time fly, but now I feel very comfortable wearing it.

Still processing for me. DPS got it the beginning of July. I have a feeling any day it will switch to Completed and thus my pacing back and forth for the mailman will officially begin.

Looks like some people who mailed theirs in a week or so before me are just now getting theirs. Hopefully mine will be just around the corner! The wait hasn't been all that bad. It's the "trying to find a job right out of college with a crappy Obama economy" that has been really bad. Waiting back from hopefuls sucks. Especially since most of them reply with "not hiring at this time"
