Let us not forget either that while Ms Aguilar is the most to blame for this ridiculous piece, there is an entire line of producers who have ultimate say in what goes on the air. If they only hang her out to dry as the sacrificial goat, then they are as bad as she is. If they felt the story was egregious to suspend her indefinitely, then who ever approved it to go on the air in the first place needs to belly up to the bar and take a slice of this. Anything else is cowardly.

Our letter to Fox 4:
Your 'indefinite suspension' of Ms. Agular is grossly insufficient for such an egregious betrayal of public trust. What about the producers who approved this for the air? What about her superiors? She should NEVER be brought back under any circumstances. Her producers and supervisors must also be suspended & Fox 4 must publicly apologize to Mr. Walton and your viewers. We are ashamed of you and ashamed that we ever watched KDFW news.
The implication that the veteran who defended his own life is evil with no mention of the culpability of the criminals who chose to violate Mr. Walton is repulsive.

Unfair Park has confirmed that Aguilar -- who was just named one of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists' Broadcast Journalists of the Year -- has been indefinitely suspended, based on concerns about how Aguilar treated Walton.
Where I work indefinitely suspended means
fired, sometimes the chickens do come home to roost.
Eh, slight translation difference.
"Indefinitely suspended" means she has some time to consider her misdeeds while the lawyers peruse everything. Then, she will leave the station on supposedly amenable terms to "pursue other interests", her leaving having absolutely nothing to do with the story.
We'll probably see her on Telemundo, or Univision in some market...Probably either Miami or L.A., she may be done here in Texas...But who knows...Strange things happen on TV...
I have a friend who just got a job at the local Fox affiliate here in Houston and she left the Latino entertainment TV market for better digs...I hope she didn't make a poor choice there...

I just saw they linked the Dallas Observer story, *& video* over on The Drudge Report.
Fox4 News is gonna feel that, since Drudge gets over 16M hits a day.

Answer:
"Do you want the scary answer?"
Or: "If I was, you wouldn't be able to conduct any more interviews like this!"
(Not that I would ever actually encourage anyone to threaten someone, but this irritates me to no end.)

Nope, she takes her marching orders from me...
She actually does the behind the scenes scheduling, what they call "trafficking", but its not the "road trafficking" in the normal sense...

Drudge is carrying it from here:

They are doing sort of an analysis of what a reporter shouldn't do
