I pulled up behind this trailer at a stoplight, and was able to snap the pic with my camera phone before the light changed. I love the idea!
Judging from this picture - You seem to be a bit too close to the trailer.

Even at a stop - leave enough room to give yourself an out....you never know when you will need it.
I usually do. This was actually the second pic I took. I was too far away with the first pic to be able to clearly see the words, so I pulled closer. There was no one anywhere behind me, and I knew the light was going to change soon. It was an acceptable risk.

Nice to see they still allow cannons around SHSU. By the looks of the pic you were by the Sam Houston house right across street from campus about to turn on to SH Ave.

I see you know Huntsville, Greg. You are absolutely correct.

Vincent Tran gave me this tailgating solution 1/2 a decade ago.

Turn on your windshield washer.

There is always a little overspray that will hit the tailgaters windshield. I tried it and it works.

Your milage may vary.
I am not so sure that is a good idea. I actually caused someone to go into road rage by legitimately using my windshield washer. The guy came flying around me, slows down and uses HIS washer to spray back at me, then slows way down to turn into the parking lot ahead. As I go by he is yelling out of his window. I just drove by waved and smiled.

I guess he was mad about me washing some of the dirt off of his old beat up car; I think it was the only thing holding it together!!

I agree with 7GenTex. Looks like you were about 1520 yards to close!!

I'm actually kind of ashamed to admit this....

Keep in mind this was definitely in my younger years and I have very much learned my lesson.

My buddy and i were following his parents out to their house in lake Conroe. They were in the car in front of us. I was riding shotgun in my buddy's blazer.

We have to make a very quick stop at a red light that changed unbelievably fast. The car behind us had to slam on his breaks (as did we). He starts honking and we can hear him yelling.

Without a thought my hand and associated finger went flying up in the air.
(my mistake, i don't do that now... trust me, learned my lesson)

So this joker just goes ape-poopie. He starts honking and weaving around behind us and getting right on our bumper. My buddy and I are all of probably 16/17 years old and we can see this is a full grown man acting a fool behind us. We're a bit freaked.

Luckily his dad notices what's going on behind us and pulls into a gas station. We pull in behind him and in pulls the joker behind us. He pops out of his truck and I swear to Dog... he looked just like popeye the sailor man. Tattoo, hat and all. The guy starts storming up to our truck cursing (like a sailor) with fists balled and red as a summer radish.

The next thing we know my buddy's dad is between the truck and him and talking him down. It took about 10 minutes of talking but the dude eventually got in his truck and left.

My buddy's dad comes over and starts yelling at me for saluting the guy but ends up laughing about the absurdity of the situation before the end of the conversation. He got back in his car in and we got underway again.

As i sat there and watched the whole event unfold i was more or less stunned. When we started moving again I looked over at my buddy and said.... "I almost got my [deleted] kicked by popeye the sailor man". We both just died laughing...

to this day though... i dont think i've ever flipped anyone off again (in anger anyway).

watch for popeye... he's out there.
