I agree with you, but I just had to point out that both of the major parties are using this scare tactic to motivate voters this year. The liberals are scaring people with the threat of a SCOTUS that will overturn Roe v Wade. The conservatives are scaring people with the threat of a SCOTUS that will overturn Heller v DC. I don't care for either party and think both are bad for the US, but I keep telling people (and myself) that the country has survived worse and will survive these. Even if either case were overturned, the elected politicians would have to pass the laws and still be supported by the people for re-election.
