For those interested, Obama has removed everything we've been discussing from his change.gov web site.
EDITED... changed change.org to change.gov Sorry about the confusion.

The percentage of citizens with higher educations hasn't changed in at least 250 years.
What has changed, is the percentage of citizens with
pieces of paper that
say they have a higher education.
Today's MA = 1980's BA, = 1960's HS diploma, = 1940's 8th grade diploma.
The total education package doesn't scale well, but in terms of literacy, numeracy and overall awareness of the world, I know some graduate and post-grad diplomates who lack the education of an 1890's third-grader.

You can still get to the pages at Google Cach, but i do not know how to do screen images and such to save them, anyone looking for a project?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz= ... afe=images" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm sure they'll take all of the negative comments from the internet and sanitize the pages put a modified version back up. "no no, that is not what we were really saying..."

It would self-correct without intervention if the federal assistance were taken away, just like housing. The free market works in education just as well as in every other venture if allowed to exist without interference.
Look at the bright side. There would be lots of unemployed highly educated morons looking for work. Maybe some of them would actually start to think.

Sad. Now the gun ownership issues are being discussed in the "Criminal Justice" section of that site. Funny thing is that most of the discussion comments are in opposition to the article ("Do Guns Reduce Crime"). Even funnier is the Frenchman's comments about gun ownership in France and his hopes for America. Duh. Lest we for get the France's national motto..."Nicht Schiessen!"

That is actually a little limited compared to other popular sites' use of cookies. Most others will data mine your cookie cache and attempt to customize content and advertising. If it is a site that you are a member of that has your email address they have little compunction selling your info with your personal info to others. BHO needs to leave the guns alone and address electronic privacy.

Interesting that he's got a ".gov" domain for a website that is not a government website (yet).
