Then, don't forget about the Crook in Chief: Socialist America-Hater Obamer

And his trusty sidekick: Joe "I just can't seem to stop saying stupid things" Biden.

If you vote for your incumbent this election, YOU are the problem. I don't care who he is. :txflag:
I don't believe my Rep is a part of the problem.

That IS the problem.

The dufii who elect Arlen Sphincter every year don't think HE is the problem, either.

Same with the stupid liberals who elect Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, DiFi, Hillary and all the other communist America-Haters.

The only way to send a message to Congress that WE are in control is to CLEAN HOUSE. Every stinking one of them. They are ALL presiding over the worst approval ratings in the history of Congress.

If you want to keep your guy because "I don't think he is the problem", then, as I said before, YOU are the problem.

Ahem. His guy is Ron Paul, who is without a doubt the single and only person in the Federal Congress who is NOT part of the problem.

:iagree: 1,000,000,000%

I don't always agree with everything Ron Paul says, but he definitely has convictions and sticks to them. He is not a lying dirty thief like most of the rest of them. I have tremendous respect for the guy.

I just saw this and started gigling like a schoolgirl:

Arlen's new buds have stripped him of his senority on all of his committees except one. He will be the JUNIOR democrat on all committees except one, in which he will be SECOND...from the bottom.

This puts him at a distinct disadvantate in getting pork for Pennsylvania and is a straight up insult in front of all his constituents.

Couldn't happen to a better person.

It reminds me of the extreme ethical behavior of Sen. Phil Gramm when he switched for the Democrat to Republican parties. He had the ethics and character to resign his seat and run again in the new party, rather than just making the switch...to heck with the voters.

Yep, Ron Paul is not the problem.

Neither is my guy, Jeb Hensarling.

I'll hate to see him go, and I'll welcome him back. Just gotta make a statement if we are to ever get back in control.

I believe Ron Paul has said the same thing. :patriot:

Wait a minute. So you'll vote for his Democrat challenger during the upcoming election, regardless of their policy? That doesn't make a lick of sense, man. Good grief, what has this world come to? :headscratch

Arlen Specter admitting he's a Democrat is kinda like Barry Bonds admitting to steroid use. As if anybody had any prior doubts...

Here goes my first semi-dumb question. Obviously, it is allowed, but why is switching parties allowed without an election? If someone wants to switch parties that's fine, not in the middle of a term. Maybe it doesn't really make that difference anyway. It looks like he's getting it from both sides now. I wonder if he'd like a do over?

Surely you know how hard it is to find a good political representative. And you're gonna throw one out to "make a statement"? What if you were that guy, in there fighting the good fight and this is the thanks you got? Going up against the world for the good of your constituents, and they throw you out in a broad-sweep "clean out" because most of them are bad anyway. Sheesh.

Out with the bad, keep the good guys. You could lean it a little and say if you're not sure, throw them out just in case. But if you've got a ringer, don't reward him with a pink slip.

Arlen Specter would switch to the Armadillo Party if he it guaranteed he would get re-elected. His change of political parties is not about Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal. It's about having a better chance as getting elected. If he stayed a Republican it would be a sure bet he would loose a Republican primary and not be the Republican Party candidate in a general election. Thereby not be re-elected to the Senate.

The primary job of congress it to get re-elected. It is not to represent the people back home.

Are you serious? So I take it he's doing a fine job by doing whatever is necessary to get re-elected above all else?

I think what he's trying to say is that is their job description as THEY see it, not as we see it.
