Very well thought out and presented Chabouk.
The death penalty can never be applied in a fair and justified way in an imperfect society. Recent reports have shown that each state spends and average of 10 million dollars more to execute and individual versus the cost of a lifetime of incarceration. If it is cheaper to lock them up for life than execute then I just don't get it. I don't think the U.S. will be executing people much longer. Most developed nations have done away with Capital punishment. Cases like Todd Willingham's are certainly helping fuel that change. I also think this case will be Perry's downfall unless he changes his mind and actually discloses what he and his staff did in the hours before the execution. Somehow just saying he was a monster and a bad man and deserved to be executed won't cut it with most Texans... He is playing right into Hutchinson's hands and I like it!

The appellate court or courts examined the evidence and didn't overturn the verdict.

The parole and pardons board examined the evidence and didn't stay the execution.

What do all you guys know that they didn't? Facts not opinions.
The jury and the courts examined "evidence" (in the form of testimony) that we now know to be seriously flawed.
That's your opinion.

No, that's the opinion of every independent scientific examination of the case, including the Texas State Forensics Commission.
