[A police spokesman] said the gun used in the hold up was a Kel-Tec assault subrifle, a rifle with a folding stock that shoots pistol cartridges.
It was among 89 weapons stolen from a Webster house in 2009.
I guessing that was a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 rifle:

The first of three defendants in this case pled to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 20 years in the slammer Monday.

My wish for him is that once he arrives, he immediately becomes somebodies wife. Twenty years??? What does that mean, he will be out in 18 months?

I have never been able to make sense of sentences versus actual time served. They seem to resemble EPA gas mileage ratings.
I don't doubt these young punks get a few swift lessons from the school of hard knocks when they arrive in the University of Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The last perpetrator in this case was still on the street, on probation, until Monday. His probation was revoked after he was "accused of pointing a gun at an individual."

So much for second chances.

The thug should never have been set free to prey on the rest of us in the first place. Thank goodness he didn't kill someone before they locked him up.

If he survives prison, he'll be out too soon, meaner and marginally better schooled.
