That was not the vote taken last night. As it says right there on the page: "H R 3962 RECORDED VOTE 7-Nov-2009 11:16 PM"

Really sending more PAYING customers to the Doctors office isnt going to hurt anyone.
From 2001-2008 I gave $0 to the Insurance Companies and Doctors office.
Since then I have gotten Wisdom Teeth Pulled, A Crown, 3 Cavities *I like sugar*, my Wife's been to the Cardiologist (That was a big bill) and throw in birth control, allergy medicine, pills for when I threw out my back and I've given them thousands of dollars in business.
Now expand that by Millions of uninsured and under insured.

I guess you meant that you paid for your own. You're a good person. That's just our point. Now watch what happens, and it won't be direct-pay.

ETA: Check Denninger's post this morning (I generally like how he supports his conclusions, very logical). In it, he points out:
# Health insurance is mandatory, with fines for non-purchase amounting to 2% of your AGI.
# You cannot buy or maintain a catastrophic policy any more.

casingpoint wrote:Good question. They actually did not need Murtha's absentee vote, as he was number 219 and the Dems only needed 216 ayes. Insofar as a dead man voting goes, that's the kind of change you can believe in now, even if you can't believe it. :smash:
Change? Dead voters have a long tradition in Chicago.

I'm guessing about four years. ;-) That would be AFTER we've paid extra taxes and fees and BEFORE any of the benefits take effect, right?

Last night's vote proves there is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat.
