While they may be small in number, don't be fooled that the ideologies of a few, when taken to the extremest levels and played out, are not a threat to the government and our way of life.

I was just thinking about your last five words “and our way of life”.

A person has to go through more and more security to fly. I understand you can no longer drive by the front of the White House. The government has had to pass numerous laws they are under constant criticism for. We are spending a ton of money on “Homeland Security”.

Terrorists have already affected our way of life tremendously.

The government has controlled the public by threatening to withhold the public’s money. Where does that put us?

One instance is the “national 55 mph. speed limit” mandated by the government during the “oil shortage”. Texas at first refused, but finally complied when the federal government threatened to withhold federal highway funds.

Tim McVey and Terry Nichols were just two individuals, but they seriously damaged the government.

Actually, they did no damage at all to the government. The government still exists, still performs the same functions, and has even grown larger in response.

The OKC bombers killed 168 (possibly 169) people plus three unborn babies. They weren't "the government", they were individuals. Some 99 of them were government employees, and the rest were children or bystanders. No matter how tragic their deaths were, "the government" kept humming right on along.

Terrorist tactics like this fail to understand that "the government" is a Hydra.

Let's be clear. They would not be able to overthrow the government in a hostile takeover. Neither would al-Qaida, The Taliban or even China or Mexico as they currently stand. However, these events chip away at our governmental base and impact us greatly over time, and can eventually lead to the collapse of a government. Add these to the way things are going today in Washington, it may not be long until our government is so trashed that no one would WANT to take it over.

(Maybe I should move to Lichtenstein and that way I can be on the winning side when they invade!! )

I understand your point and agree. I wasn’t looking at the larger picture.

Lichtenstein would not have to invade to win. All they would have to do is declare war and attack. After the U.S. won, we would spend billions helping them rebuild bigger & better.

No matter how small, any of these events impact the government. The government had to rebuild the building, so that was tax dollars, so yes, they caused damage the government.

You should always Worry when the Goverment starts "Rounding Up" people.
I wonder what gave them away, was it a Plant? Wire tapping? SOmeone sold them out?
I also wonder why they didnt "Fight it out" seems they went pretty peacefully.

The "leader"s ex fiance has been on the news a lot. I wonder if she brought the group to the FBIs attention? Just a thought....
