I drop calls like crazy with AT&T and am tired of it.
Yup. Me too on the dropped calls....Plus AT&T just irks me. I just sold my 3Gs and my new Android phone comes in today.

AT&T will not have them available in the stores till the 29th and even if you could order one from Apple, it would not ship until July 14th.

Where and how did you get one now?
I'm guessing that you managed to order around June 14th thru AT&T before they cut off the pre-release orders and it was delivered to you this week?

yep, I ordered and got an apple email Sunday saying I'd get it a day early. I'm guessing so the activation servers don't melt.

I'm about to go take some pictures with it (if it doesn't rain) and post them. If any of yall have any questions I can take some screen shots and post them here.

edit: whoops, delivery date 24th lol, I ordered on the 14th lol

I plan to upgrade but I'm going to wait a bit and see what bugs show up and give apple time to work them out.

I haven't noticed any problems with reception yet. I am going to test it soon.

iPhone 4 has been working for my wife and I wonderfully. Haven't had any of the reception or screen problems that have been surfacing. Maybe I just live in an area with good reception. Don't know, but we're very happy with it.

I have a question about the back of the iPhone 4. Does it have all of that useless writing on the lower portion of the back as shown in the attached picture or is it just a sticker that can be removed?

It has it...if I am not mistaken, it is required...

Strange........that it is required.........

My Samsung Eternity has nothing of the sort on it.
Do Blackberry's have it? Other Smart phones?
I don't think so.

Why then is it required on an Apple?

Since the back is glass, is it etched into the glass or just painted on it? Could paint thinner or something else remove it without damaging the glass?

most people buy a case anyway so it won't be visible. It doesn't detract from the looks of the phone anyway imo
