I watch all the shows and have come to the conclusion they are fancy infomercials. But yet I still watch.

I've never seen so many commercial packed into 30 minutes! - and even some of the content is just infomercials for the sponsors!! And they preview, show and repeat so many segments that if you stripped out all of this you'd get about 10 minutes of real content. Yet, like you, I watch but only after I've recorded the 2 hours and can fast forward through the junk. As a retired LEO, I do find some things useful as reminders and for CHL holders it can be helpful. So I have to applaud the fact that these programs are being sponsored and carried on a cable network that is fairly widely available.

TXlaw,
No offense intended, but I get a chuckle every time I see your avatar--Jesus (presumably) sportin' a sweet mullet.

I also agree. But I still think it is a positive thing because it brings the subject into a fairly mainstream media and exposes it to more people than ever before IMO.
And yes, I never miss an episode. But I fast forward through the commercials.

Glad the sight of my best friend brightens your day - and I hope the day of many others. He's a good reminder about what I post - keeps me on the straight and narrow.

Today I sat down to watch the shows on DVR and my wife was there playing with the kid, the show grabbed her attention and got her to asking questions and I gave her some more questions like what was she going to do when I was not there, one of the titles "Don't be a victim" caught her attention she asked what victim means(she is Chinese) I told her it is you, if you don't learn to defend yourself and then explained to her what it really meant. During one show it showed some self defense techniques she claimed she could not do this because she is weak I showed her a simple action if somebody grabs her wrist, at first she did not think she could do it, then she tried it about 5 times and was surprised at the ease of it. This is a good show for those wives that have resigned themselves to being a perpetual victim. It got my wife interested and asking questions. Next step is to get her shooting.

The only place I have found any episodes has been on the Spike TV website.

That's a great start with your wife. There's a lot of excellent information available on those shows - if you can fast forward through the ads! Good luck with more training of your bride and protection of your family.
