The way I think through these kinds of issues is to ask the question, "If I carry and they find out, what is the code that I would be charged under?"
As previously stated, 30.06 obviously doesn't apply and there is nothing you can be charged with. But the key element is to ask yourself the question "what specific code would be violated".
