Please keep us updated on this pup. I just got a female lab that is now 7 months old. They are such a lovable breed and need affection. Hope Kythas's uncle adopts her.

She seems to still be doing well tonight. She's full of energy & a bit skittish but she comes right away when I call her. Of course, she wants to jump all over me.
This really stinks. It's incredibly hard not to allow myself to fall in love with this little puppy, but I simply CAN'T keep her even as an outside dog.
It's a good thing I don't know who turned her out because I would probably beat the snot out of them and then wind up in jail. Lowlife stinking scum! (That's the toned down version.)

Some time this weekend I am driving from Kempner to Red Oak for a .......well, it's a long story,,, but I'm giving a fellow listers mom a ride in a Mustang.. no matter point is.... If I can include a Puppy Transport mission as part of my movement... PM me.
I'd love to take her,, but we are still trying to acclimate our newest puppy to the older Husky.. another Puppy now would be a disaster.

I should hear something by tomorrow afternoon. My girlfriend Shelby was thinking of names for her. I think the best one was Lady Bird of Pebble Creek. I told her that was a mouth full to yell across the pond with shotguns going off but I think Lady Bird will be just fine. I feel kind of bad getting another dog after Charlie was taken. I know she will forgive me in spirit and it will be nice to have a cold nose to walk me up at 2 am to go to the bathroom and a dog to walk at night. One thing I love about Labs is their enduring spirit. They will give every ounce of themselves to you and hold nothing back. It is this quality in Labs that I favor the most and the reason why there will always be place in my home for them.

I hope this gal finds a home, animals can't make decisions as people can, they depend on us. I tweaks me in the absolute worst way when people abuse animals. They have no say and in the situation and depend on us to take care of them.
I hope she can make her way to CS to her new home.

Sig, I think any name that starts out "Lady" would be perfect for this little sweetie.

I hope you are able to take her.
Thanks to everyone for their support in this. I know it's not for me, it's for her. That is as it should be. Someone is going to get a wonderful companion.

I just spoke with my uncle. He said he's interested but needs to get the OK from my aunt, who is currently out of town.
The only issue is my aunt will be having surgery soon and, since he's in Alabama, he won't be able to drive up to Texas to pick up the puppy while she's recovering from surgery. I've offered to "foster" the puppy until I drive there for Christmas and can take her with me then. He said that might be do-able but needs to check with her.
I'll probably know by this weekend at the latest.

I don't mind feeding her, but it's only a matter of time before something happens to her.
I have no way to pen her up to keep her safe.

We adopted our black lab from
http://txlabrescue.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, but they're focused more on the greater Houston area. There are several different rescue groups specializing in Labs around Texas, just google 'Texas Lab Rescue' to find them all.

After multiple phone calls to the manager of my property, I finally have an answer and I was flat out told that dogs are not allowed. It seems that they have a negative view of animals. I am really upset about it because I don't see why there would be a problem but that is what I am faced with. Well our lease is up at the end of January and I think we are just going to have to move because I have to have a dog in the house. I'm sorry Pawpaw that I could have not give this beauty a home.

Have been able to check again with 74novaman?
