Btw, my caucasion mom grew up in Kenya as a missionary kid. She always checks "African-American" on forms. The looks she gets is priceless. Plus, she'll argue that she is much more African-American than 99% of the black Americans.
I have a good friend from Trinidad who is black and a new citizen of the USA. He gets irritated with that term. He's no where near "African" and he's a new American who has black skin. What about those people?
