The aliens have been here for a long time.

Near Louisville, Kentucky, in 1876 an incident known to history (but not to me) as the “Kentucky Meat Shower” occurred. Small pieces of meat rained down from a clear sky in an area the size of a football field (100 x 50 yards).

Two men reportedly tasted the meat and said it was mutton or venison.

No credible explanation has ever come forth. Obviously the cover-up has been going on for centuries. ;-)

... they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was.
Then they sang "Doe a deer a female deer, Ray a drop of golden sun ...."

Manna was supposed to be more like bread, not raw meat.

Meat would have been very problematic at the time.

True, but either would spoil over night; I was just joking because they tasted it ... "what is it?" "It is manna: for they wist not what it was. " I know that was flesh, not bread, and manna was bread not flesh, but it was sorta funny anyway thinkin' of Bubba and JohnBoy tasting the unknown ... "Hey Bubba, your head is glowing now ..." "rlol"

Just a side note I found interesting: "meat" and "meat offerings" in the OT, meant "bread"

Leviticus 2:1 And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:
Leviticus 2:4 And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.
Leviticus 2:11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
2 Samuel 13:10 And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother
etc etc ...

Yes. In the 17th century meat meant more like what we mean by meal or just food.

We have a remnant of this meaning in the word mincemeat, which has little to nothing to do with animal flesh (some recipes include lard).

And sweetbread, which is not bread.

Like the quail that rotted in their teeth?

They didn't need fridges, they needed toothbrushes!

oh yeah, Thanks BullWhip, I had not even thought of those quails (Num 11:31-33, PS 105:40)
... maybe the birds ran into a cold front...

That may be the earliest documentation of this type event.

Bubba and Johnboy shouldn't be tasting them ...

Something caused the birds' blood problems ...
