You are on another prayer chain over here! Wishing you the best! And for your family as well, as we all know you are not in this alone.

Best of luck, TAM. In high school my physics prof had serious prostate cancer, like a 4.5/5 on whatever scale they measure it. He had surgery, was out for a month, and came back just fine. He is still teaching nearly 10 years later.

Chris, you are in our daily prayers. Remember Psalm 34:19: He will guard you.

TAM - I just ran across this thread. I'll start praying for you and the doctors who are treating you.

Chris you might check out http://www.pcip.gov" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It's insurance for uninsurable folks with pre-existing conditions.

I will certainly be praying for you. Not only for healing (however the Lord chooses to do that), but also for comfort and peace and that those would replace "worried" and "anxious". Blessings.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I checked that one out a year ago. Unfortunately, it's even more expensive than the Texas high risk pool. Fortunately though, we'll be able to cover the cost.

Update: still waiting to hear from my doctor as to when the biopsy is scheduled. I'm going to phone them again and bug them.

The Texas high risk pool will tear you a new one. No pun intended, we've been there and been done by that. :eek6

Let us know when you are going for the biopsy. In my case, the biopsy was the worst part of the whole experience I was awake and under local anesthetic and could hear the whole proceedings. I know you are aware of this but be sure you have someone to drive you home sometimes they give you "something to relax."

I'm praying for a negative outcome but, if you have to pick a cancer to have this is the one to have. Proper treatment will assure full recovery.

I just checked the Texas High Risk pool the other day. From what I found they don't pay out any benefits for the first 12 months.
