But, I do have two PS90s. Had the first one for 4.5 years now - bought the 2nd at the end of last summer. I really like them. Very ergonomic.
Details!

How loud? Accurate out to 50 yards?
Would it make a good vehicle vermint gun? I use my AR sometimes but it's bulky and loud.

If I can ever score a good deal on a PS90 I want to get one and SBR it, like it should be.

Not that loud, and no flash at all. My eyes aren't the best - others claim that they can shoot under 1" groups at 100 yards. I can't do that, but I can do 1/2" groups at 50 yards easily.

I tried a few other rifles, and decided to just get a 2nd PS90 last year, as it is my fav platform. I kept the stock black ringed USG sight on it, to have a battery free carbine I can grab and go if need be.

The ammo is supposedly good to 200 meters. But if ya look at the ballistic charts, I'd say that the realistic range before ya start having to aim higher is 150 meters or so.

You know... I'm kind of annoyed now. I just discovered that a PS90 is 26.3" overall... I thought it was longer. I was planning to build an AR57 pistol with a 12" upper (because it would save me about $500), but that would put me at 28"... longer than the REGULAR-length PS90!

Dangit. Now I have to buy a PS90 instead. :biggrinjester:

It's pricey but is reported to run well. Except for a Miami swat shooting where it didn't really get the job done, I haven't heard much bad.

Lots of tac teams are using the 5.7 round...Not that I know of any. :leaving

Yes, I haven't bothered to short barrel it, because it's already shorter than a short barreled AR.

I guess after watching Stargate it just doesnt seem "right" with that long barrel. I really like the PS90 but it just looks silly with that barrel.

CDNN has been running them alot recently. I'd check there first, but your numbers seem right, though I wouldn't go past 1650 for one.

If you're in the DFW area, Great Southwest Gun Range has a 5.7 available for rent. That would be how I know that I would love to have one.

Someday.

By the way, I probably wouldn't be considering a PS90 if I hadn't shot an SBR'd one already. I was shocked when I put a mag through it... it literally felt like shooting a BB gun there was so little recoil. I was impressed, and impressed by the accuracy too... and I LOVE the SS optic! :anamatedbanana

I shot one that a friend of mine owns.
It felt good with little recoil as others have said.
It is extremely accurate with a red dot scope.
But for the money, there are other guns I like better.
But that's just my opinion.
There was a thread on this awhile back and someone made the comment that the 5.7 has a hard plastic feel to it.
That was my impression also.
Yeah, it IS a plastic gun.
But for some reason, this one feels more so.

CDNN and a few other places were closing out the USG models - as they have been discontinued. Only the railed model is still in production.

I have seen them as low as $1100, and I thought I remembered CDNN selling them around that price initially, but then they charged close to $1300. I do not know if they have any left.

WHen I first bought mine 4.5 years ago, the green ones were $1399, and it was $1499 for one in black. That is what I paid for the first one. The USG model I bought last summer was like $1650 from Bud's.

I've tried a few other rifle platforms, but ended up selling each and just getting the 2nd PS90. I love how it takes like 5 min to clean the entire weapon. Plus, I like the ergonomics and mag capactity. They really are cool little guns.

Admittedly, the short barreled version does look better - but I don't feel like paying for the parts and conversion and THEN paying an additional $200 for the tax. And, then ya gotta either get an LEO signoff or do a trust. Then, everytime ya move, ya gotta update the ATF. Take it across state lines - get permission from ATF. Sell it - major hassle.

I'll leave my 2 stock. I also get about 200 fps more of velocity with the longer barrel
