the time begins at the date of FINAL Disposition not the date of conviction. By this I mean that if you were convicted on 1/1/2005 and were given defered adjudication for a period of 1 year with 100 hours of community service the time of the 5 year period would begin upon completion of either the defered adjudication period or the completion of the community service what ever is the later occurance of the 2.

Thanks for clarifying, this is what happened in my case... just wanted to hear another chime in to confirm my suspicions.
