Geez a bump of an ancient thread. Some boards have warnings built-in, or otherwise deny bumps > a year old.

OK I'll bite: didn't some state recently introduce legislation that would require Family & Friend interviews as part of the gun-acquisition and/or CHL process? An astonishingly bad idea, as everyone has "family & friends" who are psychos and could derail your application.
